Play Hideaway was founded by Ivi Lindau, a Registered Social Worker, clinical counsellor and mom who deeply understands the emotional weight that comes with raising young children while trying to stay connected—to yourself, your work, and your community.

After becoming a mother, Ivi couldn’t find a space where she felt supported while her children were having fun. She didn’t want to choose between doing meaningful work, drinking a coffee while it was still hot, or giving her kids enriching play—they all mattered.

So she built what was missing.

Play Hideaway is an expert-informed, mom-designed space that meets the real needs of modern families: emotional regulation, connection, flexibility, and relief from the pressure to do it all.

We believe that when caregivers are supported, kids thrive. We value inclusivity, connection, imagination, growth, compassion, and creativity.

And we’re here to redefine the village—one playdate, work session, and deep breath at a time.
